YouHelp.BG founder & activist on the ground
Boriana Shikova is a lawyer who used to practice corporate law in NY and London.
Her life took a U-turn after she saw the BBC 4 film Bulgaria’s Abandoned Children in 2007 and volunteered to work on pro bono basis for the Department of Social Services and Welfare in Varna in Bulgaria. Boriana’s volunteer work turned into a full-time commitment, which susequently evolved into Project YouHelp.BG.

Cocktail Charity Party

YouHelp BG organised a cocktail charity party on the 3rd of December at the Bulgarian Embassy in London. The event was under the patronage of Mr Ivan Stancioff and with the support of the Bulgarian City Club. Guests of the event were the Bulgarian Ambassador My Liubomir Kuchukov, the press attashe Dessidlava Naydenova, Mr Ivan Stancioff, Prince Kyril Saxe-Coburg and many supporters from the Bulgarian community in London.
To support the cause Miro came all the way from Bulgaria and sung with the accompaniment of Lili Ioncheva and Bobby Valchev for over one hour. Apart from his own songs, Miro sung some all time Bulgarian hits and got the audience singing with him...more
